The Anti-Terror Barrier System – 2 × 6m is a complete hostile vehicle mitigation (HVM) solution designed to protect public spaces, events, critical infrastructure and access-restricted areas against vehicle-borne threats.

The package comprises two separate barrier sections, each providing approximately 6 metres of vehicle protection. Based on the Road Barrier system tested in accordance with ISO 22343-1:2023, it uses an innovative controlled-deceleration principle.

Unlike conventional rigid barriers that rely on direct impact resistance, the Road Barrier overturns when struck and engages the vehicle’s underbody and front wheels. This creates a powerful but controlled stopping action designed to reduce impact severity and the risk of serious injury.

The system is fully mobile and requires no foundations, excavation or heavy machinery. Supplied in a reusable pallet box, it can be rapidly deployed, relocated and stored between operations.

How It Works

When struck by a vehicle, the barrier overturns instead of acting as a fixed obstacle. The triangular base engages the vehicle’s chassis and underbody, while the ground plates interact with the front wheels.

Together, these components create a controlled-deceleration process that brings the vehicle to a stop while reducing the forces transferred to its occupants.

This approach provides effective vehicle mitigation while helping to minimise the risk of fatal outcomes associated with conventional rigid barriers.

*The Road Barrier system was crash-tested and performance-rated in accordance with ISO 22343-1:2023 by VTI in a documented configuration measuring approximately 6 metres.

This package contains the components required to create two separate barrier sections corresponding to that configuration, each measuring approximately 6 metres.

The VTI classification applies specifically to the documented test configuration. Combining the components into a different length, or using other quantities, spacing arrangements or configurations, is not automatically covered by this performance rating.
